What is reflexology

Reflexology is a non-invasive complementary health therapy suitable for anyone of all ages, encouraging deep relaxation and wellbeing and can be used alongside medical care. Based on principles that by dividing the body into longitudinal zones and horizontal lines, organs, glands, structures, and systems of the body are mapped to different reflex points/areas on the feet, hands, face, and ears. Reflexes are linked to other areas of the body through the nervous system. By systematically manipulating and applying pressure to certain areas of the feet the aim is to encourage the body to naturally heal, relieve stress and support itself to retune and re-balance, promoting resilience and self-healing. Reflexologists use fingers and thumbs to look for areas of tenderness and crystals in the reflexes.
